vanguard Jackie chan movie review

Hello everyone yesterday evening I went ahead and I once again braved the actual movie theater down at ward warehouse the consolidated award what do they call it lux theater down there the old ward warehouse district where they are playing the new well one of the new Jackie chan movies that have hit the theaters called vanguard and well without further ado remember our rating scale shock a thumbs up it's good to see

I recommend it shock a thumbs down its junk i don't recommend it and for Jackie chan's vanguard it is a shock a thumbs down now it really pains me to say that you know I'm a big fan of Jackie chan you know i loved the foreigner when it came out you know that really expanded jackie's acting talents that dramatic role was really good it's just a shame it failed at the box office i think it had to do with the wholeirish you know irish catholic you know terrorismthing the whole fencing feng shuioh not feng shui friend fen shay deal you know i mean outside of america people know that stuff especially in englandyou know in the uk area they know all that stuff america couldn't give two hoots about it not even that patriots game movie you know part of the jack ryan showsreally did it for us and that basically talked about the same thing and that was way backin the in the 90s umall right but i digress this is about jackie chan's new movie vanguard which i think hit the theater around the 20th of november

you know due to thanks giving the holiday and everything i didn't go see until this last saturday and let me just say this this starsit says it stars jackie chanadditionally it stars two younger actors one called yang yang and the otherzihu umzee who zhao tienand let me just say this up front yes jackie chan gets top billing yes he's in the movie however most of the stunts i'd say 99 of the stunts the action fight sequences they are done by these two younger gentlemen yang yangand zee which you know isn't bad they do a great job doing what they do however you know part of the thrill of going to see a jackie chan movie is what craziness is jackie chan going todo what incredible martial arts is he going to show us on screen and you know he's an older gentleman he's what he's is he 70 already or he's at least almost 70 if he's not 70 plus my goodness so you know we can't really expect him to be doing that kind of stuff anymore and you know to be fair he does do a couple of fight scenes in this he shoots some guns you know but no crazy big jumping stunts or anything you know which again

he's anolder gentleman he can't do that kind of stuff anymore he does some grapples in the movie but man you know it just you know takes the whole wind out of the sails of this movie that jackie chan is no longer front and center in a movie that you know is advertised starring jackie chan action star you know i'd say you know i was just talking with somebody you know a couple hours ago about the last movie that jackie chan really jumped in there and still did like a lot of stuff was like two years ago the what was the real steel movie or or something like that which unfortunately due to the craziness of the story it was a shock a thumbs down this one vanguard is a shock a thumbs down because of the lack of jackie chan in it doing what he does best and also again the story is mainly the story is a bad story once again vanguard is a private security an elite private security company ran by jackie chanhis two main operatives with this security army let me just say this right now army that stretches the entire world we're talking hey double o sevenjames bondmi you know mi6 have nothing on vanguard the cia doesn't compareto what vanguard has we're he's got a army a personal private security army ready to defend those who are rich enough to afford his services his security company services and when one of these rich peoples you know is attempted to be kidnapped by a terrorist organization called arctic wolfarctic wolves his team and his company spring into action and save him from being kidnapped unfortunately they also go after his daughter who is in africa and so they have to rush over there to save her and rescue her as well unfortunately she gets captured  in a blow out fight and thus the rest of the movie is one they have to save her they have to save her father

who gets kid who trades himself for her release we find out that you know there's a lot of blood money that this gentleman who's an accountant which is why he can afford jackiechan's and vanguard's services um you know tied up in this terrorist organization they want their money apparently for to purchase some type of ultimate weapon to destroy the john cstennis well it is importin dubai the united arabs emirate now that being said so right there the plot is like way out there but okay i can run with that you know you've seen james bond moviesspy movies you want to run with that you want to say okay i can buy this bad cgi once more you get this fakey looking lion in africa that charges jackie chan and one of the bad guys you see it in the trailer it looks like junk there are some you know another stretch of unbelievable lack of verifimilitude is that they have these hovering skateboards vanguard does which they can fly an individual in armed with a machine gun to give air support coverage why didn't he just send everybody with one of these hovering skateboard

things to sneak in and rescue whoever you know it doesn't seem to have much people don't have much defense against that or expecting that they have you know again armament that only armies have it's incredible and unbelievable if you know most army shows that even james bond is salivating at what jackie chan's company vanguard has a tits disposable for saving just this one man and his family let alone who else you know in the world is he saving you know with all these resources why does anybody need an army a government we're talking agents a shield level kind of capability here incredible all right but besides that again some breaks from the real world when they attempt to blow up the john cstennis the aircraft carrier in dubai it is in port in port the captain of the ship gets a urgent message that they are coming under attack so he launches planes get these planes in the air to defend us an aircraft carrier is unable to launch aircrafts well docked in port you know you need the 15 to 20 knot wind to allow for the lack of the run way on the aircraft carrier which is only about a thousand 1041 feet or soof take off space so yes they need a lotof extra wind to give lift to the planes to take off they can't just take off and port unless it was you know a hairier jet or a helicopteryes you know the navy is working on you know some extra you know powerful catapults to kind of negate the need for that but they're not ready and they're not on the old john c stennis aircraft carrier so you know again just for me having been in the navy that was another breaking point for this movie and again mainly just you know the lack of jackie chan doing most of the action you know i can forgive some of the stunts but i mean still just lacking in fights which he could have choreographed around and he could have worked around to to his strengths as an older gentleman and we could have seen him in more fights instead of these two younger kids i want to say they're you know young 20 year olds yang yang and zee hu zao tianwhich again you know they do fine fighting scenes and such but it's not jackie chan it's not what you're there to see unfortunately  and because of that the show suffers along with

you know those lack of good CGI realistic story you know in fairness you know as a strength for the movie, as usual, they do end up globetrotting they are in London they go to Africa they go to Dubai and I think possibly morocco something like that I think you know where they rescue the daughter but again overall it and there you can't go wrong all right thank you so much
