Netflix is capitalizing on the successful series Marvel's The Defenders by turning the small screen into the largest theater in town. It's begun releasing its Marvel properties to streaming on the platform at the same time they appear in theaters, starting with the Thor: Ragnarok. On November 3rd, fans will get a chance to see Thor fight the Avenger's greatest enemy in Thor: Ragnarok.

On that day, audiences will have the chance to see not only Chris Hemsworth don the hammer, but watch him recruit his fellow Avengers to join him in battle against Hela. While Thor's time in the previous Thor movies was short, the movie will give fans an even more in-depth look into the character, and it appears the show has been paying off.

While Marvel has played it mostly safe in most of its TV series, the comic book retailer Funko really pushed the envelope when it released a line of Marvel Funko Pop Vinyl figures based on The Defenders. The figures are a fusion of characters from all five of the shows featured on Netflix. It was not only well received by fans but sold out quickly. With the movie currently on a roll, it's no surprise that Funko would launch the second wave of The Defenders Pop Vinyls.

As with the first wave, there are six figures. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Iron Fist, and Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra are all available to order.

The Pop Vinyls include five figures in the black-and-white Iron Fist set and three figures in the blue-and-red Netflix Daredevil set. The latter two are an interesting, albeit odd, mix of characters. The end result seems to reflect the weird relationship between The Defenders and the Shapeshifter's daughter, Heather.

Unfortunately, all six of the figures are not currently available, so fans will just have to wait. However, there is a review copy for The Defenders Season 2 and, if fans take note, each figure will be rated so that the user can tell if the figure is good or bad based on their individual rating.

The other exciting item that Funko announced today is a new line of exclusive action figures. With the brand announcing in October that they are dropping more than 20 new action figures this year, the announcement was expected. However, it came from a pleasant surprise, as Funko showed off three new releases from Marvel and Funko is working closely with the creators to create new figures.

The figure of The Punisher, seen above, is a true representation of the character with the face molded very much like Jon Bernthal's. The action figure also includes a belt, knife, and ammo clip. The figure looks stunning on its own, but the action figure also comes with a special scene where Frank fights Freddy Rumsen, the Marvel Comics character that fans may recognize from The Punisher.

The two other figures released today are more Marvel characters. The first is Spider-Man from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The figure has the webbing draped over his chest in a way similar to how he appeared in the movie, and it also comes with a brand new, alternate, spider costume. The third figure released today is the character of Captain Marvel. Based on the hero's appearance in the Marvel comics, fans may recognize the figure as Brie Larson, who plays the character in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie that will be out this year.
