can
superman and supergirl both exist in
live action at the same time
like in their own like movies or tv
shows like each carrying their own
franchises without a problem
i personally as a comic book reader
who's read
comic books both superman and supergirl
comics that have been going on at the
same time
i think if it's possible in the comics
it's possible in the movies or on tv
but maybe it's not because if you
noticed
news dropped that supergirl
the cw tv show
is going to be ending after its sixth
season
so basically they're canceling it
after six seasons but the sixth season
has not
yet to air i think it's airing
i think it's going to air in 2021 and
then that's it
now you know a show that runs for six
seasons six years and gets cancelled
that's not uncommon actually these days
you know getting six seasons before
you're
canceled is great so i consider
supergirl a successful run
but i don't think it's a coincidental a
coincidence that they're canceling the
super bowl tv show
right when they're starting the superman
and lois tv show
almost as if you know the cw and dc do
not
feel like there's room for two superhero
shows to run at the same time
now it's possible it could just be
timing you know they didn't have a
superman and lois show
start doing it until you know this the
supergirl show had ran for six years
right it's not like they were having
them both go on at the same time
but you know why did they wait you know
so many years after supergirl started
to introduce a superman tv show maybe
it's because they felt that there wasn't
enough room on tv for two kryptonian
superheroes to have their own shows at
the same time
so that's why they staggered them they
had one go and then
you know axe that one and have the other
one go later
or you know they plan to have you know
the other one go later which is the
superman and lois show
so if that's how they're thinking what
does that mean for you know supergirl
and superman's existence on the big
screen
can they have you know supergirl
franchise
a movie franchise like a trilogy and a
superman trilogy going on at the same
time
i think that they definitely could and
i'd love it if they did that
but maybe they don't feel like they can
does this
since henry cavill you know his superman
is
apparently supposed to cameo in other
people's movies presumably to lead up to
his own movie
does that mean that we will never see a
supergirl movie of her own for like a
long time
until after henry cavill's trilogy or
finishes like a man is still two and
three or beyond
will there not be a supergirl movie
going on at the same time you know the
same year
released as a henry cavill superman
movie that could be the case maybe they
feel like there's not room maybe they
will you know we'll never see a
supergirl movie until the henry cavill
superman movies
have run their course now that would be
fine i guess
i mean as long as if I have to wait, you
know i like supergirl as a character and
superman so
whatever happens, if you know they make a
supergirl movie
after henry cavill retires from the
superman role
i mean i'll be fine but i do think it's
possible and would be cool for them to
have their franchises going on at the
same time
i think that you know if dc and warner
brothers coordinate you know the writing
and you know the sharing of villains or
you know give supergirl her own villains
and superman his own villains
and you know have them cross over the
hero superman and supergirl the cousins
and
you know the fight and or maybe you know I'm
not fight but fight together
or maybe fight against each other
because you know their cousins they love
each other but you know
families don't always get along but i
think that if you know warner brothers
in dc
coordinate that it could work great i
don't think that there needs to be this
either or one of the other kind of
attitude i think they can do them both
together
if you know coordinate and work it
out you know like handle the storylines
have the writers and directors get
together and plan things out i know
that's a big deal
that can seem troublesome for warner
brothers to do like is warner brothers
capable of doing that because dc movies
you know are notorious for having their
problems
but i think if they put their minds
to it it can work
but again you know maybe i'm thinking
too much about it maybe it is just a
coincidence that the supergirl tv show
was ending
before the superman and Lois show starts
but i don't think it is
what do you think
